Well, after some discussion, the Fat Boys have decided to put the club on hold for a while. After a strong 11-month run, we are going to enjoy the holiday season and hopefully not have the scale end up on Jan. 1, 2008 where we were on Jan. 1, 2007!

Pap: 14lbs (6.2%)
Goertz: 29lbs (10.2%)
That's a grand total 55lbs of weight lost!
So thanks to everyone who actually read this and kept us accountable. I once heard that on average, a person gains a pound of weight a year, so thankfully with the FBC, we proved that wrong for 2007! Hopefully we can do it again in '08!

FBC Season 2
Apparently, the three of us have absolutely no will-power on our own. So Pap, Kent, and I (Jared) have decided to commence the Fats Boys Club once again. However, this time, we will be using a modified format.
Instead of having a 6-month competition, we will be doing it monthly. This will enable quicker gratification, or if a person loses, more motivation to jump back on the horse and try for next month.
As last time, the numbers will be based on percentages. The weight at the beginning of each month will be the measuring stick for that month (not starting weight as of today). Weigh-ins will still be on Monday mornings.
The three of us throw in $10/month for the pot.
So, the let fat burn again!
Due to my birthday yesterday (and of course needing to eat ice cream cake!) the competition begins today (Aug. 20) but this round will run until the end of September. Then the next round will start Oct. 1 - Oct. 31, round 3: Nov. 1 - Nov. 30, and so on.

So be sure to encourage all three of us, because we can't do it alone!
